This model is based on the 16th century Spanish shell sword rapier. These swords gave greater prominence to the tip, compared to the previous swepthilt swords. For this reason, the progressive incorporation of plates or shells into swords began. This meant greater protection for the fencer’s hand, thus changing fencing techniques.
Our plain shells are hand forged and welded to the lyre bows thus forming a total protection for the swordsman’s hand
